What does it mean to be “Made in the USA” and California?

What does it mean to be “Made in the USA” and California? “Made in the USA” is a widely used term. When you look closely, many manufacturers simply assemble their products in the USA. Evergreen Lighting is completely different. They are truly a made-in-the-USA manufacturer.

From the raw materials to the shipping process, they are a 100% vertical manufacturer. It is ALL done in their factory here in Pomona CA. They have gone beyond the surface to ensure their quality and control are executed beyond their competitors.

Within their factory, Evergreen Lighting goes through this step-by-step process to create the fixtures you see installed on their job sites.

Acquiring Raw Materials

Before a fixture can be created, a mechanical drawing is designed for the step-by-step process. Evergreen Lighting’s factory has all the raw materials ready to specifically create the components of the fixtures from the mechanical drawings. From sheets of aluminum, poles, plastic for lenses, LED light strips, engines to drivers, and shelves of powder coat colors for customizing each order.

Fabrication of Components

Each piece of the fixture is created from its raw form in the factory. This is done either by laser cutting, CNC bending, milling, welding, or the true artisanal craft of spinning the aluminum.

Once the components have been created from the raw materials, they are then sent through a process of welding, polishing, custom lens fitting, and powder coating in their custom color.

Final Fixture Assembly and Testing

There is a team specifically created to assemble each piece with its finished components that have been created. The LED light strips are placed, wires connected, and drivers and engines installed. Once the piece has been assembled, a rigorous testing process ensures the fixture is ready to be shipped and installed on-site.

Packaging and Shipping

After the fixture has been tested, it’s then carefully packaged. Each fixture is wrapped and stabilized to be sure it arrives safely to you. Their facility has walls of packing materials, boxes, labels, and a trusted system to ensure that the handcrafted fixture from their factory arrives just as it should.

Evergreen completes 500-600 fixtures a day with the attention to detail each client deserves. They embody what it means to be made in the USA and California. To truly be able to stamp their products with Made in the USA, they have completely built their factory around creating each component and fully assembling their fixtures here in California.
